I have a 2004 Mustang GT with the following mods.

Magnaflow Catback
Magnaflow OR Xpipe
Steeda Tri Ax
Trick Fow upper plenum
FRPP 70mm Throttle body
C&L MAF 85mm/Intake tube
Waiting to install 4.10

I was thinking about adding the JET performance chip to my mods, is this a good idea? Will i see any benifit or should i skip it? Also, i havent had a chance to take my car to the track, how much more do i need to get to a 13.99? Thanks

First off a Stock 5sp GT should be close to 14.0 with a good driver and a good DA. 2nd with those mods you should easily pass what your looking to do. A chip wouldn't hurt you could bump your timing up get your a/f mix perfect but a dyno and tune can cost depending on how many pulls you need to do. I would suggest you get a steeda N/A tune from Tim at T&J only downside is your car will be down for a day or two while you ship them your ECU, unless you live near GA

Based on your mods you shoudl be damn close to 13.99. Once youget those 4.10's in you will most likely get what you are after. Basically it comes down to driving at this point with your particular set of mods.

Remember, to take your headlight out next time you run lots of people dont do this and i don't get why...

with traction you are already at 13.99. I have seen stock cars lay down 13.99 with a good driver. with you 4:10's, traction, and some driving you should run 13's all day long.

I would not use the jet performace chip. they are a joke in my opinion. If you plan to do nothing else the steeda tune may be a good option. Chips are very hit and miss and usually do not unlock that much. I have used jet and hypertech in my camaro's. they were a waste. I should have just spent my time and money learning to burn my own. I wisht the sct software was about $500. then it would be a no brainer.
