need help no fuel ?????? wont start

Tank is full..... .That sucks as it sounds like your going to be dropping it to put a fuel pump in.

Replacing your fuel pump relay module!

If your GT Mustang has the Constant Control Fuel Pump Module located between the passenger side fender and fender well, and you are thinking of replacing it, here is what I would do. To take the easy way out, I would cut out a portion of the fender well big enough to remove the Fuel Pump Module. I said Fender Well, Not the Fender! You can do this by using a dremmel tool with a grinding wheel attachment. This is an awesome tool, let me tell you. I have used it to do this type of cutting on many projects. It will cut into the sheet metal very easily. You just have to make sure you purchase a good amount of the grinding disk wheels. They come in a small plastic container. They are about 3/4" in diameter and about 1/16" in thickness. You would need to jack the passenger side of your car up and place a jack stand in the appropriate location, that is if that is the side of your car where the fuel pump module is located. Remove the tire which should give you more than enough room to work. Once you have chosen and marked the location that you will be cutting off, and then made your cut. You can then install the clip on nuts, shown in the picture below on the edges of the remaining fender well, that you removed the cut out section from. These clip on nuts are sold at hardware stores or auto part stores. Then simply install a new slightly larger piece of sheet metal that will overlap the existing cut in the fender well. The overlap can be as little as 1/2". You have to make sure that the new cover piece conforms to the shape of the area that you cut off. So, the sheet metal screws will run through the new sheet metal cover, and then screw into the clip on nuts. Of course you have to drill the appropriate size holes in both the new sheet metal cover, and the existing fender well cut. You can do this by drilling all the necessary holes in chosen locations on the new sheet metal cover, then place the cover over the area that it will be covering, and mark the holes that you will be drilling in the cut off section of the fender well, and drill out those holes. Then install the clip on nuts. Simply apply some type of silicone between the new cover and the existing cut before you install it back in place. Believe me this is alot easier than trying to re-move the fender to get at the fuel pump module. Besides that, if you have related fuel problems in the future, and need to get at the fuel pump module, it will be a piece of cake! Good luck, Tommy.

I like your idea as who knows if you need to get at again ....... if I didnt read up online I wouldnt even know it existed or where it was , I was thinking fuel pump ....... I lost the owners manual so I checked all the fuses & they looked OK ..... my cruise control went out years ago I wrote in and one guy a nice guy wrote look for a hook that attaches to the brake petal & see if its off ....sure enough it was as I was under there a week before & must have done it so its nice when someone like yourself takes the time to be helpfull ....thanks again & have a good day ...............................

Yes, I was reading some of the treads concerning the passenger fender removal. Sounds like it is a real pain in the butt! Far too many things to contend with. Ford always thinks of ways for the customers to bring the car back to them to get their money back. This is just one of many obstacles that exist for allot of items. Another one is for the fuel pump removal. All they had to do was design a removal patch in the trunk of the car. I think some of the later models now have the patch in the trunk for the fuel pump removal, not sure? If you, or anyone else decides to make the cover for access to the Constant Control Relay Module, you will be glad you did! Glad to be of some help. Good luck, Tommy.
