Need help quick

Sometimes when i'm driving my 1990 gt 5speed, it will just quit. I will be going down the road and the engine will just shut down. Could it be the battery b/c the battery guage is all teh way at the bottom.

What alternator do you have? The factory ones for that year suck. Good news is that a 95's goes in with just a little work. That's double your current one. But first check your battery connections- especially the ground side, and the alternator connections too.

get a new alternator
