I am trying to ship a 64 D code convertible from San Diego to New York. Has anyone used this transport board www.auto-dispatch.com and have any feedback good or bad.
I havent used them, but 3 years ago I had my '68 shipped from Los Angeles to San Antonio for around $800.00 from a company out of Fla. Triple A , I think.
Make sure you ask about a time frame, once I had shipped a Jeep, it took 3 months to reach me, it was a nightmare.
We have used Central Dispatch (different company than you posted) literally dozens of times with total satisfaction. They are a dispatch service that carriers list on whenever they have an empty auto spot. Just name your requirements and price and the phone will ring shortly. I think you can use it for free to try it out, which would suit your needs. I usually get cross-country enclosed for about $800.
Many car transport companies contract out the shipping of a car. So just make sure they have a good insurance policy and you have an agreed value for you car.
I recently had my 67 Fastback shipped from California to Minnesota with no problems for $ 750. www.cosmosautotransport.com
Depending on the condition of you car you might want to consider a closed transport service. It is more but might be better for your car if you have to ship during the winter season.
