Need help with AEM WIDEBAND INSTALL ON FOX PLEASE!!!!!!

I have an AEM wideband to install on my 88 GT. I purchased it used and haven't really had any experience with this. But i purchased it knowing it did not come with the o2 that comes with the whole kit. I do have a bung. Is the bung to use the factory o2 sensor? Would i just weld the bung on top of the old bung? Just curious because the connector for the o2 looks like it has to be a specific o2 sensor for the kit and if it is, wasn't sure exactly which o2 (AEM BRAND) i would have to get. Any info on this would be EXTREMELY helpful so i can finally get into boost on my new set up. Pics below of what i have:

It is a specific sensor. You need to install the bung in the downstream of your collector and certainly not over your other one. Typically the sensor is installed with the tip pointing on a slight downward angle to prevent moisture from accumulating in the sensor. There website should have the directions for the installation. Your factory sensor is a narrow band and the new sensor is a wide band. I'll look the sensor part number up and get back to you. There is a local guy I deal with that gives me the hook up on new ngk wide band sensors.

So do i keep my original o2 where it is? I am sorry for the noob questions, the UEGO sensor is all i need? i will not do any logging ofcourse.

Keep your factory o2's this is a separate system all together. All you need is the sensor.

I put my sensor below my stock o2 sensor in my h pipe. Worked pretty good in that location. Just make sure you mark the spot on the h pipe while its still on the car. That way you know the sensor will not interfere with anything when you go to install it. I didn't do this originally.. I guess I got lucky..

Something else I have been told is to avoid installing it parallel with the factory sensors, because supposedly the flow turbulence will affect the reading of whatever sensor is downstream of the other.

Be prepared to drill a big ass hole for that bung. It's somewhere around 3/4", IIRC.

When you say parallel, do you mean directly across from the stock sensor or in line with it. I would think neither of these options are good. I think I clocked mine a little from the stock one to make sure the stock sensor wasn't blocking the exhaust flow from the wideband sensor

that sensor cross references to a Bosche part number that you can get fairly cheap. Ill find the number for ya
