It does stay on with the rest of them? Sweeeet. I am going to do this tomorrow then. Sucks that it is so cold here right now though, and I don't have a garage for it. Oh well. Oooooh I see now, the video is only showing the turn signal on, so they are alternating while blinking, and since the outer light is only a single filament, it turns off for a split second while the inner one blinks........maybe?!?!? I love figuring out my own stupidity.

Chris

p.s. Thanks for the vids Mavrick.

It will not work if you leave the outter marker light ground connected.

(edit)

When your blinker is not on, both lights will work like normal.

only takes like 20 min max so its not a big deal. just have a light and something to clean the wires with so you can actually see the colors

Is there anyway to get JUST the outer light to flash?

Basically swap what ford Done,
The inner light just stays on all the time and Never flashes,
And the outer light, Convert that to be the Flashing light??

could this be done?

I remember seeing somebody had done this before.. it is no easy task. The reason it is hard, is because the inner light is a dual filliment bulb allowing to act as a running light, and become brighter to act as a blinker. The outter light is a single filliment bulb and can only act as the running light.

To swap them, this guy had to cut the back of the marker light housings, and customize how they mounted in the back of the housing.. he kept the stock locking design.

I just did the wiring yesterday and it turned out great. It took me about 20 minutes because I am slow, and couldn't get the bulbs to lock back in!

I imagine the easiest way to modify it like you said starscream would be to modify the back of the bulb casing and actually just run the wiring to the opposite area.

Is there no way of just adding the third wire to the outer bulb holder?

Like make a little hole then use the outer holder for the three filament bulb,
and basically keep the holders in the original places but swap the wiring for the two??

Could this be done?

To be honest I dont want them both to flash,
Just the outer one,

I mean seriously what the hell were Ford thinkning when they did this?

The light is at the corner, Why not use it?
I think it looks so crap when the middle bulbs flash

i might be able to just use the wire for the 2nd filament of the inner bulb instead of the normal power wire on the outer bulb. seems like this might work...then you could just ditch the old power on the outer. worth a shot....
