ok, I just installed the flame thrower ignition coil in last night and every time I try to start the car it will not start and just backfires. Yes I do have the pertronix ignitor. I have heard that you need to bypass wire to make the coil to work. I dont know which of the three pink wires im supposed to splice(one to silonoid, the ignitor, and to the dash). The black wire from the ignitor is on the "-" side of the coil and the pink wire is on the "+" side. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Are you trying to bypass the ballast wire (coming from the key)?

Splice into second wire coming from key cylinder at same terminal as ballast wire.
