I had a recent thread that was fairly similar to the one your reading now. I am writing a new thread because there were not many responses to the first one. I am planning on putting a 99 cobra motor in my 99 V6 in order to do this i have to upgrade and strengthen my chasis and suspension to handle and support that new power and weight. What kind of parts do i get to accomplish this. Also do i purchase the cobra parts or the V6 parts or what? And as far as i know i think the 99 cobras come with independent rear suspension. Would this affect anything if i didnt have that cause i am fairly certain V6s dont come with IRS? Please let me know what kind of parts i need to get so my car can handle this power increase.
