:bang: I have a 2007 mustang gt which got ran over by a deer a couple months back, but since the repair There have been many issues the insurance paid which I thought they should have totaled.
The car has 12,000 miles give or take a few,but my main problem is when in third gear btw It is standard shift around 4100 rpm she starts missing,I was told the car would do 120 in third but all I see is 80,Runs perfect in first and second but third, fourth and dont know about fifth a chevette would beat it,down hill.
The dealer was unable to find problem, car is all stock.
They said at 80 miles an hour in third the fuelpump is pumping 36 psi, which is correct.
the checked all relays, and booster packs and they claim to be fine also.
the damage done back in january was 11,000 dollars not one airbag was deployed,A ladie in west bound hit a deer at night and threw it in the slow lane in eastbound,I never saw the deer before or after, for that matter,It shattered front spoiler all the plastic in front the deer hit where hood latches, thats the reason for no airbags, hood went over the car taking out rear spoiler and deck lid,one fender was replaced, the hood and scoopand all the goodies under the hood ,and windsheild,When I got the car back I babied it,and here recently I was checking fluids and came across a plug that plugs in at metering block, air intake hose,I noticed that there was bare wire showing on 2 of the wires,I took to dealership and was refused,I was told to take to the bodyshop that did my repairs so I did and sure nough there was one wire broke he said the second was fine.
They soldered the wire back togather and still same problem,I took back to a different dealer mentioned nothing about wreck or plug repairs just to get it on the computer and like I said no luck but they did notice the plug repair, but not that the car had new fender, hood, scoop, decklid, and rear spoiler, pitiful.
My question to you fellas that are gear heads on these stangs is If in fact it was the plug would the computer need to be flashed once fixed, andcould this plug be causing what I have described as the problem?
BTW I went from getting 317 a tank 93 octane always to 268 a tank,Is there anyone out there that has some humor for me when it gets daylight I will take a pic of the plug I am speaking of. any help would be appreciated.

Oh the advisor at Bill Collins ford told me that I would have to deal with the problem my self because he cant have his mechanics driving my car 80 to find what the problem is and Ford would not enforce it since it is over the speed limit,
It has standard shift and 331 gears if that helps any,oh and the advisor name is Randy Franklin,30,000 for a car that Ford wont back,I say if the car does over 100mph then Ford is responsible for the problem or stop building vehicles that go over the speed limit:jaw: I had an 1981 corvette that was clocked doing 157 mph back in 1997 and I still have my license, plus I have a 2004 1200 custom I need to sell 8000,00 garaged, thanks everyone or anyone that gives me some info.

put the picture in paint and draw an arrow to the plug you are talking about. I could possibly help you if I know what plug it is. I'm a fire truck/ general perpose vehicle mech in the air force and work on alot of fords and have a Ford loving shop. I would be glad to help if I can.

Yeah, let us know which plug you are talking about. It is unclear in the picture. I think you mean the TPS but I'm not sure. Also, you said 317 to 268. What does that mean? HP numbers? I was gonna tell you to take it to a dyno and see what happens with A/F. Forget it I know what you mean by the numbers, duh. I never got 317 with mine always around 270. Go to a dyno thats your best bet.
