i have an 88 gt with jasper motor maybe 87 motor not sure. i have a b303 cam with roller rockers and my car runs like crap. have to shift early, it put puts like the motor breaks up. cuts off sometimes. someone told me the cam is not meant for the heads so what can do to fix this. maybe a303 cam? also can i chip it with an a303 cam. my engine has no mass airflow sensor.

Try checking all your vacuum hoses and clean the idle control valve if that still does not work try turning up your idle to 900 rpm and if that does not help the you may have a rich condition and may need to install an adjustable fuel pressure regulator so you adjust the pressure so it will not run rich. The cam you have would work better with better heads but that's not the problem so the cam is okay. Good luck keep me posted.

the Speed Density computer can not compensate for drastic changes in the airflow characteristics of the engine. Pull the B303 out and install a stock cam, or convert to Mass Airflow. A 1989 harness would be a direct swap if memory serves me. That is the problem. No if's and's or but's....

Good luck!
