my tranny is going out i dont want to spend alot of money. can i get mine rebuilt? and what about a shift kit or a tourqe converter?

oh i got the perfect tranny for you sitting at my local yard!!!! It is out of a 1990 Ford T-Bird SUPER COUPE!!! they have better internals than the 5.0 mustangs and bolts right up. cost is $95 plus shipping!!!! let me know! HarleyFordFan@comcast.net

harleyfordfan...any more info about turbocoupe trannys? Didn't know they were interchangeable

its a supercoupe not turbo coupe. it has larger, more hd parts inside them. the only reason i know they fit is my one friend has an 89 lx and his aod went bad and he put a SC tranny in it and its alot better acceleration and shifts better. only because they were designed to live behind a supercharged motor.
