I need to verify exactly what model of automatic transmission it is.

You don't need photos, just look at Ford's data sheets or any of the many dicussions here. The ATX is a 5R55S.

hopefully tomorrow i'll finally get to check out and drive a GT... my local dealer claims they should be getting a few in...

two weeks ago i tested the v6 deluxe... was a bit spartan inside, but not too bad for the price.
