been looking at 3 different k-memebr, there might be some better opposition so let me know!!

ok so i like the aje k member from cj pony.com so i can keep my spring in factor place and still have tube control arm and k member.

then im been looking at upr & team z k-members from lmr.com.

so what fit better, work better and if switched to coil overs what spring rate wound i need?

All are awesome k members . Team z had some kind off issue where people needed to use drop mounts I believe to clear the oil pan for the power steering rack . They make an excellent product . Dave really knows his stuff

Upr makes a awesome k member as well many guys here run it .

AJE I have personally installed in a car first with a 468bbc in it and then swapped for a coyote . It has held up well over 2.5 years of a abuse already . They had an issue with a bad batch of control arms and the ball joint holes machined wrong and over a year later exchanged it for us no issue when we explained what was going on with not being able to press new ball joints in .

Spring rate depends on what your sole use is going to be for the car . If you call team z or upr tech line they can assist you in picking the correct spring rate for your car for a coil over .

spring rate will base on drag/ street weekend drive :burnout:!!! but right know from what i read aje is the way to go because from what i under stand if i want to change motors just change mounts!!

Are you looking at the Chrome moly or 1018 Mild steel kits for Team Z / UPR? AJE has put out a good product but they are always tweaking their stuff.

Depending on budget and goals for the car I would favor the UPR 1018 kit. Why? Keeps stock location of the wheels similar to the AJE, but UPR has lifetime warranty. Team Z is also great stuff, but I have only installed not owned.so I leave that up to someone with first hand experience..

Another important note/question is some struts don't play as nice with certain manufacturers coil over kits, and that is also to be said about the caster/camber plates (Just an FYI).

Now the 1018 vs Chrome moly is personal preference. 1018 bends (and can be MIG'ed if need be, but UPR covers damages with warranty and you shouldn't have to repair it yourself.) and Chrome moly when it fatigues its brittle and cracks (weld areas are prone to this and its not just limited to a single manufacturer, its a known material problem).

The engine swap motor mount thing, unless LS is in the near future (or 2jz), this isn't really a problem IMO. Like I said, depends on the goals for the car.

I've had my AJE for 5yrs...daily driven for first three. I love this thing. I run the stock control arms. Its been under a 347...306... And its going under my 331. I've never had an issue. Through snow and pot holes here in Maryland...with salt brine and all. Only touch up I had to do was on the upper spring perches just a little surface rust on the back side where the powder coat was compromised. I like the fact that you can get mounts for almost any motor through them. Absolutely no header or pan clearance issues. Best money I've spent so far....I've broken everything else at least once.
