Need some help!

I am helping organizing the drag racing part of SAAc 30 this upcomming July 1-3 2005 weekend at Fontana. I need the rules on how to classify cars, nad what safety equipment is needed from dead stock up through competition classes. does anyone have a rule book, or know where this info is easilly accessible?

Many Thanks,

Dan

I would believe you want to use NHRA type rules for this and so I would direct you to NHRA website and you should be able to find info or get a rule book direrctly from them.

Holy crap, it's SAAC 30 already? Makes me feel old My first was SAAC 18 at Watkins Glen with a '70 GT 350. I'll be there in '05 for sure with one of my cars...and my SAAC 18 t-shirt on!

Yup, already planning the 05 event!

What I am looking for is the basic guidelines on saftery equipment required for cars from pure stock up through competition classes. I don't need the entire rule book, as John Force will not be tgere!

Can someone help us out?

Further Clarification: Unless we think otherwise, street liscensed vehicles is the main target.

We need to know what equipment is required based on ET.

Here is a main SAAC rule. For track stuff, you'll need to be a member, no guests entering.

Helmets; snell 2000 certified only, and they'll look.

Tech inspection / Car rules

And I'm one of those tech inspectors making sure your car complies!

Found the rules of the racetrack on the California Speedway site. Very much like the standard SAAC package, exept for noise and speed issues.
