Well my problem is im drag racing my car and i cant get the dam thing to hook up. I got weld draglites and mickey et streets 275. i just purchased a set of upr soild adj upper and lower control arms and it still wont hook up. My 60fts are 2.0 cant get them lower. I have the rearend with moser 31 spine axles and detroit locker and a spec stage 3 clutch. im not worried about breaking i dump the clutch at 4000 and spins and get major tire hop as the nitrous hits.

My second problem is i brought the car to a new dyno guy and with the spray it was way lean at like 16 AF ratio. He backed off right away when he started spraying. My fuel pressure drops from 40-20 as it hits. So im waiting on now a svt focus pump and 30lb injectors do you think thats enough? So i hope to put out over 400 hp and with it right i think it should run better. I ran a best of 12.4 at 114mph with it way lean and sputtering.

Thanks for the help!!

Have you tried launching a bit lower? That AFR is making me ill. Thats bad(obvioulsy). I'd say with that pump and injectors youd be good. Are your stockers maxed out? Is this new tuner a mustang guy? I wouldn't think the injectors would be maxed yet though.

400RWHP, you better get a bigger pump and injectors. Have him get the right plugs in there too. MY buddy has those 275 M/T's on 17X9 Bullits and he cuts 1.7 60 ft times and is running high 13's. MY other friend runs 11's with the same M/T's and he pulls 1.6-1.7

When is your nitrous set to come on?

What PSI are you running in the tires?

Try slipping the clutch just a little when you launch instead of just dumping it. Dumping it from where you are making peak tourqe really sends a shock to the tires, so without the supension really being dialed in I wouldn't expect it to just dead hook.

Adjustable upper/lowers will only help so much anyway. The problem I see in your sig is that you have Eibach springs. I assume they arent the drag launch spings, so they are hurting you from being so stiff and being very unproductive as far as weight transfer.

You need to get the pinion angle set properly and need to work on the rest of the suspension, shocks/struts, springs so you have weight transfer.

well i took out the eibach springs and have the stock ones in there. i havent took it off my sig yet. the nitrous comes in at full throttle and has to be after 3000 rpm. yea but i think im going to need some more suspension mods. im going to be getting a k-member with the adj coil overs. so i guess a can start from there.

thanks guys

LOL - well I guess you didnt need our help then...

Drag Racing Issues to address: tire pressure, pinion angle, launch technique. (you've stated you dump the clutch at 4K, wonder why it spins and don't know the answer?)

Nitrous Issues to address: got colder plugs? At 125 HP, you should have 2 steps colder. Get some fuel...either a BAP or Focus or Cobra setup. I'm surprised you hadn't hurt something yet. (how can you stand on it when you say it's "lean and sputtering"?) Monitor your AFR. Get a wideband. I used to datalog to death. With a wideband like Innovate Motorsports LC-1 and a laptop, you can do your own analysis over and over.

Another thing is that you really need some suspension on that thing. You got all that power and you poor stock suspension is all like " yo son we can't handle all that, c'mon hook us up with some help here". Ya know what i mean? You sig says that you have stock suspension. Is that right? The thing i wish i had done first, well after gears, is build up my suspension. Thats key to getting power to the grizound.

are you running a wet kit? if so then the svt focus pump will be good and you should only need at most 24lb injetors. 30 lb injectors are too much. your a/f is horrible and your launch is based on skill and how good prep is.

I would also try using a smaller rim size for more sidewall to absorb some of the torque.

The guy that tuned my car the first time said everything was ok didnt need anything. But when he tuned it the nitrous pressure was only 700 psi. I didnt have a bottle heater at the time. Since then i got one and i asked him when i do get full bottle pressure will everything be ok he said yea dont worry about it. since i been racing it with the full bottle pressure im not getting a good spray since its a zex kit and computer controlled it must of sensed the fuel pressure drop and was shutting on and off the nitrous thats why i think i didnt blow it up.

so i got the svt focus pump you dont think i need injectors? yea the kit is a wet kit. could it really hurt if i buy the 30 lb i rather be safe and get it right then have the same lean problem.
