I dont know what happened yesterday but the car seems like its in limp home mode or something. I had her running 12 lbs of boost till the belt started slipping so i pulled the charger and let it sit for around an hour. It ran fine beside the belt slipping, but when i went to start it after sitting its idle was terrible....it couldnt even keep itself running. If you feathered the throttle to keep it running it makes some whining sound, like the water pump is going out but its brand new. Also the drivers side plugs and wires had oil all over them which was not the case when i had changed the plugs earlier that day. I also checked the oil and it was a little low. Even after cleaning the plugs up she still barely ran, so i just limped her home. Any ideas on what could have happened?

You may have blown youre rings. I did that in my original shortblock. Was the car running hot? Also listen to hear if the noise is coming from the supercharger, you may have over spun it and fried a bearing in it. I also did this before too. The supercharger had a weird whine at idle that would almost go away as the RPMs went up, it was kind of wierd.

One more thing, does the pulley on the supercharger spin freely? If not thats definately your problem, and that would explain your belt slipping and the engine stuggling to run. When mine went, I could bearly turn the pulley by hand.

Its not the supercharger at all, i have it off right now and its running like ****. Almost as if its not hitting on all cylinders or something. When you start it it revs really really high to around 2.5 or so, then it just dies unless you feather the gas. You can hear something whining but i think that is just the water pump spinning at really low RPMs before it dies. Im also losing coolant and the check oil light comes on pretty often. Im gonna change the oil most likely and see if its nice and milky, hopefully its not. It almost reminds me of the mass airflow meter going bad in my 300z, Is there any way to test the meter without pulling it? Also how do you run the computer self test? The haynes manual claims its on the passenger side but its on the drivers, and it doesnt work correctly when i do it the way haynes says to....

Ok i changed the oil out, looks fairly decent. I also compression checked 6 of the 8 cylinders (left the back 2 out) and they all ranged between 120 - 125 psi. Anything else i should try? Also how the hell do you run the computer self test?

Ok not not 100% possitive but im betting its my MAF meter, i unplugged it completely and the car runs the exact same...no check engine light nothing but the same **** it was doing before.

when i put my blower on i had major blowby, rings, so i rigged a hose from the filler neck to the intake side of the blower. on the first try i put it right before the mass air meter and my car did the same thing. after i moved the hose to after the mass air it ran fine, so i'm betting you're right on the mass air. if you can drive the car at wot the car should be sending "all" it's got regardless of the mass air meter. if you wanna try

aren't you the same guy who changed pulleys and was making a ton of boost, and asking if it was safe, just the other day??
Do a compression test!!! I agree with above, you may have thrown a cylinder,, (rings etc)

you probably blew something internally, you should have mentioned you were running your boost into the teens to these guys, with your setup.. your old post..

It stopped spiking the night that it started screwing up and it was running like a champ. I killed it and pulled the charger and sat around for about an hour and went to leave and it barely ran, but no problems until then. As i stated earlier tvmango i compression checked all the cylinders and they all were 120-125. All the plugs looked decent enough, and when i changed the oil it looked good enough also. Im gonna take it to autozone in the morn and have them run the codes and see whats up. With regards to grey, i had the hose like that (ran previously by owner) but i disconnected it and moved it off to the side to no avail...

Ok i ran the codes in koeo mode so far and i got 11 first, then i kept getting 66 saying the MAF sensor was screwed up. So i pulled it off and used intake cleaner on everything and plugged it back on and it still didnt work. But after killing the car the damn T-rex fuel pump is still running (keys out of ignition) and you can hear the fuel injectors firing and the fuel rail shaking. WTH is going wrong now? I was going to run the codes with the engine running, but not until i figure out why the fuel system is staying on with the car off.

Is there any reason why pins B and C on my MAF are showing infinite resistance...i checked them all and everything seems good on the sensor besides these two pins and the haynes manual has nothing of that sort to double check with. Also after tinkering with leaving the battery off for around 30 minutes the fuel pump will not come on when you reconnected it. But sure enough you kill the car without leaving the battery off and the injectors and the fuel pump are all running....pretty weird.

Sounds to me like your fuel pump relay is bad.

Ok i finally got my car fixed, seems like i blew a small piece of my upper intake manifold gasket, and a 2 inch vacuum hose that connects to back of the intake manifold. Anyways im contemplating slapping the charger back on it but i would hate for the same **** to happen. They said that the gasket had never been changed and the hose was missing the hose clamp so it may have not entirely been the high boost. Anyways thanks for the help.
