Need Some Help Troubleshooting

My '01 Cobra is up for sale, but I want to take care of some issues for the next owner before selling/trading in:

The transmission is leaking fluid from the shifter area
I already replaced the oil seal. The leak is coming from where the shifter bolts to the top of the transmission
How does one fix this problem?

The Keyless entry is not working
I have replaced the battery in the remote. No Joy
What else can I do to trouble shoot this? Is there a fuse I can check?

The interior dash lights are not working
The fuse keeps blowing:

Is this supposed to be a 5 amp fuse?
Do you think replacing the headlight switch will correct the problem?
If not, what do you think I should do next?

The ABS light is almost always on
I have been told this is due to the oversized wheel/tires I am running.
Can this be resolved? If so, how?
If I have to get the ECM recaliibrated, where in the Atlanta Area can I have that done?

The stereo needs to be finished
Does anyone know a reputable audio shop in the Atlanta area that can just help me get the stereo dealt with for a reasonable price?

Your help would be greatly appreciated!

This is a lot for a single thread. IMO, some consideration should be given to breaking this up so that the ppl with the best knowledge of a particular area can chime in.

The post states there is some unfinished radio work. This opens up the possibility of the lighting problem being related to the radio install (destruction).

For starters, inspect the ground near the center console. The ground is shared by many things including the radio. Next disconnect the radio and see if the fuse still blows. If not, the problem is in the lighting circuit of the radio.

It is also possible that someone has installed a BIG power draw radio/amp on the small lighting circuit. This could explain the blowing of a fuse.

I am good with wiring diagrams and such and don't mind helping where I can. But without sounding rude, are you prepared to perform the tests and post the results?

Since you changed the battery in the keyless remote you might need to program it. Here is the keyless remote programming procedure.

1. Turn ignition from OFF to RUN 8 times within 10 seconds, with the 8th time ending in
RUN. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming mode.

2. Within 20 seconds press any button on first keyless remote. Door locks will cycle
to confirm programming.

3. Within 20 seconds, press any button on second keyless remote. Door locks will
cycle again to confirm programming.

4. Turn ignition to OFF. Locks will again cycle to indicate end of programming mode.

***As for the dashlights fuse blowing...would indicate a short in the wiring somewhere, but with other electronics issues needing to resolved there's a bunch that could be inter-related***

Shifter is easy if that's where the leak is. Remove the shifter, clean the bottom of the shifter and the top of the transmission mating surfaces off, put a bead of RTV around the trans and reinstall the shifter. Or, there's probably a gasket available from Ford for that too.

ABS: What size tires are you running? If the overall height of your front tires is different than the overall height of your rear tires then they will spin at different speeds and trigger a fault with the ABS. If that's what's happening then you'll need to install tires that are closer in height if you're not going to use the same tire all around. Otherwise, you'll need to get the codes pulled from a dealer or qualified shop (I don't think Autozone can read the ABS codes)
