I was looking at the new MM Chromers...they are $249.

I saw these "powder coated" ones:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Maxi...ewItemQQcategoryZ33581QQitemZ7992299535QQrdZ1

1. Does anyone know what the metal surface is on these? (link)

2. Any other suggestions for at least "good" quality C/C plates that will also LOOK really nice?

Thanks
RC

They simply powercoated the camber part silver so it would stick out in the picture. I was upset when I got mine and they were black on black. I called MM and they said what I stated above.

Here's a pic of the Hotchkis:

I remember Paul mentionin NOT using these because of the polyurethane bushings instead of steel. I dont know what the importance of that is.

That sucks... I saw the pics of the "TRIPLE PLATED" chrome ones...and even the top is black..only the base is chrome.

Ill see what kinda price Steeda can give me on the AL ones...If they can get me a good price, Ill pick them up and polish them..should be easy to polish.

don't get anything BUT the maximum ones, you can order the chrome plating as an option and the plates are billet steel, they have a spherical bearing, and lifetime warranty, they are the best, and the only ones suitable for coilovers, the new steeda ones are cool looking but are aluminum and still not as strong as the mm ones.

Thanks for the replies...

I did some research today, and the best I can get the Steeda ones for is from Steeda directly for $219 + tax....NO S/H.

The MM's are $249 plus $13 S/H.

I found the MM's at GTR performance (mustang mag). They sell them for $236 + $8 for S/H. With tax the The Steeda's would be $230, so really the MM's are only less than $20 more.

Im gonna put a post seeing if anyone knows who else sells the MM's so I can check pricing.

Thanks
