Ok, I got a set of springs for my 97 GT. I have the rear installed. That was the easy part. I am on the front now and I cant get the arm to drop. I think I have all the boltsoff that are needed. I have the main nut off of the joint and the nut off the sway bar connection. What else needs to come off?

Need help please

Did you take off your caliper? Also you can take off the end-link bushing and it will drop a little more. That is the little bar that is about 6-8 inches long with the blue bushings on it. I don't know if your car has the Abs, but if it does then unhook the abs hose clip from the strut. Good luck. Yes that How-to on the Mustangworld.com website is very good.

After removing the calipers, you need to remove the tie rod ends so that the A-arm will collapse fully. Take the bolt loose, then smack the very end of the tie rod end with a hammer (pretty hard, maybe even a few times) and it will pop off. Make sure and support the A-arm with a floor jack during this process. Once the tie rod ends are loose, then you can lower the floor jack, thereby lowering the A-arm and the spring should come out. USE CAUTION when doing this so that the spring doesn't pop out as it could injure you! This is also a good time to put on some caster / camber plates so that you can get the front end properly aligned at your new ride height.

Thats exactly how i did it (twice).....taking the tie rod end out and to the side did the trick....put a jack under the a-arm to compress the new spring to get the shock to line up. bah-da-bing. Done.
