Ford 9" out of a 1973 Mercury Grand Marquis fit a 67 mustang. Guy near me selling for $20, also has a free 460 w/ heads. I will pick up if someone wants to pay shipping on it.

I doubt it. Check the widths between bacing plates. Isn't the Merc coil spring & 4-link? Also, it's probably got 2.75 gears. Big drum brakes could be useable...

For 20 bucks, who cares if it fits or not. Sell it to some one else, or hold onto it until your are ready to spend the money on the shortening.

Too bad you're so far away. (I'm in OKC.)

Did it say "Phoenix" below your name before I asked?

Now way it'll fit without narrowing. Good candidate for that though.

wont fit without narrowing. as was stated, it would be a good candidate for that though, probably better than the one i got out of a torino.
