need to know what wires go where on a solinoid switch.

hey, i need to know where some wires go on the solinoid switch, on my 85 mustang gt. all lights work, but my car will not turn over with the key, i know i am missing a wire but i forget which one and where it goes.

Nearly everything goes on the side with the positvie battery cable with the exception of the negative battery cable and possibly 1 wire from the starter if you are running one of the late model hi-torque mini starters. Could also be your ignition signal wire. It's the one that attaches to the small post that's centered just above the two large ones. If that's not hooked up your car won't crank. Good luck.

i dont think a negative cable goes on the solinoid switch does it?

thanks you, those diagrams are very hard to read, but i did get the car to crank eariler today, thanks alot, though

Sorry, I was on about 2 hours of sleep in 48 when I wrote that. I have no idea why I said that seeing as how your neg is connected to the block. That's why we've got stand up people like Jrichker around to help us out.
