I need to remove the computer to send to T&J for speedo reflashing. I believe the computer is located behind the kick panel on the passenger side. My silly question is how to remove the kick panel so that I can get to the computer?

has one push in clip , then you have to pull like hell on the door sill to get it to pop up some then it should pop right out , then a couple bolts on a metal bracket that is holding some harnesses in there , the one little bity one on a white strap that holds computer in . then one bolt on the actual harness of wires that goes in the computer .

The problem I'm having is with the push clip. I've pulled and twisted that thing untill I'm blue in the face and it still will not come out. Is there some trick to it's removal?

they make a tool for removing these but with some patience they will usually come out , try to pull on the panel itself but not hard enough to break it , sometimes it will act in the same manner the tool does buy putting pressure all the way around the round clip and pop it out , if you cant get it , go to a parts store and tell them you need a trim panel clip tool , some people call it buy other names , just explain to them what the shape and size of the clip is and hopefully they will know what you are talking about .

I had to use a screwdriver to pry out the little push clip on my 2001 v6 when I was putting in a Diablo chip that made it "wicked fast" (which for some reason never happened) and also i THINK it is overlapped by the door sills so you have to pull it out from under there as well.

I removed the door sill first by pulling straight up on it, then gently pull the kick panel where the pin is until the pin starts moving. Once the pin is out a little bit you should be able to pull it out with no problems. Then just slide the panel toward the rear of the car.

Its where the passengers feet would be, under the dash, and to the right behind the kick panel. You just have to pull up the sill first in order to pull out the kick panel.

Yes, I guess you could say that. If you are looking at the door from the inside of the car, it will be to the left of the door.
