Need to tint the windows on my car. What %???

The convertible needs to be tinted, badly! I have a truck with 20% front/5% rear and I like it. Although, with the convertible, I dont know what will look good witht the top down.

I am thinking 20% all around. What do you guys think? I am not worried about legality issues- I am more converned about what will look the best.

Anyone have some pictures of their CONVERTIBLES with tint?

Thanks!

Here is a picture of the car... Black with a tan top..yes I know, I am going to lower it eventually...

um, with the top down the windows should be down as well so it really shouldn't matter

unless you're one of those losers who roll with the top down and the windows up, then in that case :nonono:

20% all around should be good

20% I don't see the point in going lower. 20% is still hard as hell to see through in the daytime. Going darker just makes it harder to see out the windows at night or in the rain.

Plus what are the laws where you live? Mustangs aren't like trucks. If you go significantly darker than legal, you might get pulled over a bit. Here in MA the limit is 35% and it's not a fix it ticket, it's a $200 per window ticket (or close to that number)

Unless you live in a place where its dark during daytime, or have really poor eyesight, it shouldn't be hard to see out of 20% during the daytime.

The point in going lower mainly would be in hot ass sunny ass climates like around here, anything over 15% or 20% and you might as well not have any.. the sun just blazes through and makes you sweat, even with the a/c blasting. Or, if you don't like people seeing what's inside your car when you're parked.

Regardless.. trucks and cars are all subject to the same tint laws. If you are worried about getting pulled over, just visit your local eye doctor, and tell him bright sun hurts your eyes, and get a note signed from them saying you require the tint (intermittent photophobia being the keyword for them to write.)
