My cousin just put together an 89 Hatchback 4 Cyl and converted to a V8 using the parts and wiring harness from a 90 model. The alternator wont charge and the headlights, parking lights won't come on either. We noticed the 2 plugs by the brake booster are different.Does anyone have a diagram that shows what these plugs are and what they power.I know its for the lights and all but I would like to see a diagram so I could follow the wires.

No, it’s not completely a tech issue. It is primarily a male hormonal response to what seems to be an attractive female. If it was an ugly guy, the thread would have died within 2 days.

The answer to your wiring question is that the wiring diagrams are not laid out according to harnesses. They start at the front of the vehicle and work backwards. You might think that's OK, but there are at least 2 major wiring harnesses in the front of the car. The wiring diagrams give no clues as to what wire belongs to what harness.

The Chilton shop manual will have the wiring diagrams you need, but they are small and hard to read. The manual can be found at your local auto parts store.

For for a factory electrical service manual for 1990 Mustang, see

http://www.helminc.com/helm/product...ype=N&mscsid=8NDD9V2W9TGC8P0GFDVMNAW406BDAEFC

The cost is $21.00

Thanks for your info! I guess what I was referring to is a wiring diagram for the headlights and alternator. If you have ever taken one apart they all come as one harness for the lights, alternator, ignition solenoid, and the two plugs I mentioned go into the firewall and to the dashboard. And yes that girl thread started as a technical issue then all the horn dogs turned it around.
