this is a thread i started over at tccoa.com about going to a turbo setup or supercharged. i know htis has been discussed here a ton, and i have read through lsot of the threads. but my question is how strong is the 96-98 4.6L? i have 115000 miles on mine. should i swap to a new mustang engine and trans before even considering forced induction? i was only planning to run 6-8 psi with an intercooler, but will i just grenade my engine by doing so? any recomendations for forged shortblocks ( that arent an arm and a leg )? i am looking to spend 5-6K total, sohow is the money best spent? your advice is appreciated.
