Need your monster tach advise

I need your guys' advise. I am in the market for a 5" monster tach with a shift lite. I am torn between the Autometer C2 or Lunar series but the are so damn expensive (but would match my EL dash gauges).

The Autogauge black face is much cheaper but can you read it at night? Same with the Phantom series tach. Are these backlit?

Your advise would be appreciated. Don't want to buy the wrong one.

It might just be me but I rather just have a shift light programed at to come on at a certain RPM and hide it somewhere where you can see it, but no one else... Dunno thats just me though... not a fan of thoes big tach's.
