Ok this has to do with a 92 f150 5.0. Ok the trans blew up so I'm replacing it with a trany from a 87 bronco the only problem is on the old trans there is a 5 pin connector, the truck won't start if this isn't plugged in. I think its the neutral safety switch, any idea on how to by-pass this??

Please help you guys are my last HOPE!!!!

I take it that you have no wiring diagram for this truck? Go through the pins in that plug with a test light to ground. Each time the light comes on try starting the vehicle. Eventually you will find the correct wire.

So the truck is a 4wd auto then? If so, its and aod auto which is the same type of trans that the bronco had. The bronco should have been a 5 wire as well. If its a 4 wire, then it was 2wd, not 4wd. The switch should interchange between the two trannys though.

Check out www.autozone.com, if you dig a bit, you'll find that they have wiring diagrams for your truck.
