About 2 weeks ago, I bought my first Mustang, a Silver 09 GT!

I want to slow add things to it first just visual stuff, but then I want the cold air intakes, maybe someday the supercharger

So what do you guys think I should get into? any suggestions?

I'm probably getting the 12" strips for it next month, to keep that look, but I want to put the side strips on it but make them custom. Something that has that classic feel, but customized.. anyone know where I can get those type of vinyls?

And any other suggestions would be good too

The first thing you should do it is. . . .take it to the track and get some rubber on the quarter panels!

Visual changes are very subjective, do what ever you think looks good. But lowering it should be high on the list.

As far as performance mods, I would add a CAI and tune and then change the gears.

I agree that you should drive it a lot first. Dont put any mods into it until you start to wonder about performance upgrades. Then, when you do want to mod...

Whipple Supercharger or Helion Twin Turbo System
Full Roush Suspension
Aluminum driveshaft
19" wheels w/summer rubber
Hurst Billet Shifter
3.73s for road track work, or 4.11s for drag strip
Roush Body Kit
Racing Seats
Long Tube Headers
Boomtube Mufflers
Heat Venting Hood
Painted side mirros with indicators
Shift Light, or actually, a whole computer system for recording performance info
Start Button
Dynamat the whole body
Upgrade interior panels with leather or some something

Thats probably good. Oh yeah, and a full custom paint job with le mans stripes.

Go to DSS performance and get a 331 stroker longblock with the AFR heads and a Holley systemax intake manifold. Find a Paxton Novi supercharger to go along with it and completely re-work your fuel system with a new rails, 42lb injectors, high flow pump and fuel pressure regulator. Then get the correct mass air flow meter and throttle body for it.

Dump the entire exhaust system for a cat-less Xpipe and LONGTUBE headers. Then Install the Tremec 3550 Transmission with a Steeda or Pro5.0 shifter.

Buy the eibach drag launch suspension with the airbag in the right rear spring to counter the axle twist upon launch and make sure you have 410 gears with an Eaton Trac Loc differential.

Oh and have fun.

LOL.....I'm sure he doesn't want to change out a motor just yet.

I, like the others, suggest driving it first and finding it's short comings for yourself. Everyone has different tastes and the car's weak points are displayed differently to every driver. Suspension should be first. You have a GT, and unless you are a downright spectacular driver I suggest driving the motor to it's fullest then upgrading it when it becomes boring to you.

Springs, shocks, CC plates first is my vote.

You people are nuts!!!

Get a CAI and suspension...I am super happy with what I have done to mine.

Although I am breaking down and ordering a Kenne Bell 2.6 so I will be getting rid of my dearly beloved strut bar

I wouldnt worry about the looks. I would rather have a car that looks stock and is a sleeper. But thats just my opinion. But you could do some mods that have form and function like lowering springs, shocks, and struts, or exhaust.
