My freind just did a 4cyl conversion w/ a new 306 and he drove it about 500 miles and then changed the oil and went to the race track. His car doesnt smoke or anything.
Also is running a bit rich,I have replaced everything such as sensors,ran codes and the only one I got was 22 which is the MAP sensor and I replaced it as well.Im pretty much out of ideas.Im kinda leaning towards the heads as the problem.There off a 1966 289 machined for loc-wire head gaskets,Duel springs good up to .650 lift,Titanium guides,bronze valve guides,Titanium retainers,all hardened seats,1.98 manley severe duty valves,1.6-guide plates,comp cams 1.6 rollertip rockerarms,fully ported,comp cams hardened pushrods,E-303 cam,no EGR,24Lb injectors w/ calibrated pro-M.Any ideas would be great.
