Hi Everyone,

I just bought a Red 2000 GT last Friday. It was a good price for the car because it has a year left on the warranty ( It was bought in February 2002 ) and had 5900 miles on the car. I paid 13995 with my piece of crap trade.

The car has the Mach stereo with cloth seats. The driver seat is full power and andjusts nicely. The car also has traction control which kind of sucks if you ask me.

The car is really nice and I like it for the most part. Thanks to everyone on this board because the information I have been reading has already been helpful. I will be doing some mods soon. Here is a list of mods that I would like to do to the car:

1) Steeda Underdrive Pulleys
2) Cold Air Intake - Not sure what brand
3) Accufab 70mm or 75mm Throttle Body
4) A catback exhaust system with a better exhaust note - what brand
5) Gears 3.73 - possible but want to fix the speedometer and mileage if I do this upgrade.

The thing that I do not like about the car is shifting the Automatic Transmission from first to second. There is a little hesitation in the shifting and it doesn't grab second gear like the 02 and 03 Mustangs I test drove.

Thanks to everyone on the board and I look forward to being around for a while.

Welcome to the boards. If you do the gears, I'd go with the 4.10's also and being an auto you only have 2 options to fix the speedometer, chip or computer flash. Unfortunately, with our trannies getting gears is a little more costly, but definitely worth it imo. :)

Thanks for all the replies. I will be sure to post some pics soon. I am interested in this programming of chips. My degree is in computer science so that is interesting to me.

Thanks for the helpful information. I am going to tint the windows next week because a red car looks better with black windows.

After that the other mods will begin.

Updated Car Pictures

Here are the pictures of my car that I have taken. I have put in a K&N and removed the air silencer. I just ordered some black bumper inserts and I plan on tinting the windows very soon.

I will probably do exhaust and gears after those minor details.

The only problem I have had so far is the windshield washer resevoir won't hold any fluid. It is going back to Ford so they can fix it under warranty.

Here are the pictures (just click on car pictures):

I'd also skip the CAI.. Shifting will be improved with a chip. I'd recommend getting the gears.. breaking then in for 500 miles.. then getting the chip dyno tuned so your speedometer will be perfect, timing advanced, and shift points perfected.
