I think that Ruger qualifiesVery nice. Gotta add a 1911 to my collection. Tough to find a quality one, that doesn't command top dollar.

Is that question directed at me or noobz? The place that you got it from, do they have a website? No one seems to have them and I know somebody that is looking for one here in CA. Thanks!

You Sammich, thanks. So did you have to wait 5 months as well? I keep hearing different thing, one is that Ruger knocks out between 100 to 150 SR1911's daily and still can't keep up with orders. Another, they were not in production at the moment, local stores will be 'informed' when they become available. This is supposedly a response from Ruger to some dude that emailed them directly. So who knows. My SR1911 was bought at a local store. I know most places have a 5 month waiting period to get one around here. I heard Ruger hired another shift of workers just to meet demands.
Actually, my father found one at a gun store out in the middle of no where. When he went to the local gun store last week, he saw them pulling out new firearms that came off the truck. He saw one come off and bought it and gave it to me.
