made it to the track.

was real pleased with how she ran. only thing i did since the last trip was add a boost pipe and tinkered around.

got a great feel for the car and got launching down good, i am getting SOLID 1.6 60's now, the car is leaving the line pretty hard. i had some stuff on my dash and once i left the line it all just instantly flew off the dash

reactions werent too good but i wasnt worried about that i am still trying to get where i can drive the car to its max potential.

first pass ( no power shifting)
RT- .1977
60'- 1.6947
330ft- 5.0505
1/8et- 7.8389
1/8mph- 87.67
1000et- 10.2365
1000mph- 101.60
1/4et- 12.2770
1/4mph- 112.42

2nd pass (powershifting)
RT- . -.1493 (red LT opps lol)
60'- 1.6887
330ft- 5.0394
1/8et- 7.8204
1/8mph- 88.08
1000et- 10.2267
1000mph- 102.53
1/4et- 12.2271
1/4mph- 112.90

3rd and best pass ever (powershifting)
RT- . -.0272 (red LT opps lol)
60'- 1.6431
330ft- 4.9762
1/8et- 7.7558
1/8mph- 87.63
1000et- 10.1649
1000mph- 102.53
1/4et- 12.1644
1/4mph- 112.92

picked up like 3 tenths and almost 2 mph from the last trip, didnt really tune on it much, messed with FP a bit but it was running really nice, cooler weather, just a good nite, iced down the intake and pushed it in the lines, the ice really helped cool the intake down.

i also finally got the balls to start powershifting again.

first pass i did and you can see the car jump when i shift, the last two pass, i noticed (duno if you can) you cant really tell when i shifted, you cant see it.
it seems if you powershift just right the t5 doesnt really get hurt by it, at least mine didnt, used to before the t5 would sound like it was taking a hurting but last night it was smooth didnt seemed bothered by the speedshifting.

i was shifting like crazy, banging gears and it just took it, the tranny fell into gear everytime. its funny because on the street i get clumsy and miss shifts more often, but when i get to the track i get this new POWER and can shift FAST and perfectly i am like wow badass!

anyways here the vid

sorry for the quality but its pretty good and its small file so nobody should have a problem seeing it!

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/c3736c78-bc45-4c39-afad-99b100bf14f0.htm
plans now are putting front drag springs on, getting a tweecer and tune the car, bigger injectors and start with SC pulleys, then i hope to me solid 11s then. dont want to get to crazy with boost without a tune. i'm also going to need to get a taller slick, the et streets i run are 26" and i am crossing the line at like 6000-6100 (according to stock tach), anymore power i wil run out of gear so i need some taller tires maybe 27s or 28s

11s are just around the corner!

let me know what you think!

yeah thats the first time i made 1.6s. i'm leaving the line at like 5500 rpm, dump the clutch and it hooks, lifts the front end up and goes like a scalded ape. its a different feel than you ever get running the car on the street. and nobody i know can expierence it the track doesnt allow passengers. unless i let them drive it but i dont have anyway i want to let drive it really.

Im amazed at how hard the car leaves the line and the times you are running because of it. If you were pulling more normal 1.8X short times we would be looking at a mid to high 12s car...but because you are pulling mid 1.6's you're knocking on the 11's door

a blower works well. a good n/a is great but a blower just makes the car pull in everygear, has a different feel, makes boost according to rpm, so it just pulls great then 3k hits starts making boost and then starts sitting you in the seat. not quite as cool as a turbo that makes full boost when it spools up but the car fries the tires on the street like nothing with my SC, couldnt imagine dealing with full boost at lower rpm, say goodbye to the tires lol

but at the track dumping it at 5k it makes boost of the line and pulls to the end of the track, the car never gets under 4500 while dragging at the track.

before the vortech i ran 13.3s all motor with 1.8 60's, felt like a pig compared to what it is now.

first good trip to the strip with the SC i ran 12.7s or so easily with consistant 1.7s, then i started driving it harder and got 1.6s and am almost 12 flat. and thats with just a measily 5-6 psi, it outa scream with more boost.

for the money a centrifugal blower is a great way to go, extremely easy and simple to install, nothing hard at all and is maintainence free, just have to blow out the orifice for the oil lines when you change your oil.
