Nice run! Congrats on the new time!

Trap speed/time/60ft is almost identical to my 98gt on nittos. I'm sure you will see 12's with how fast Atco is in the fall/winter this year.

Nice runs!

So do you like the Nitto DRs? I'm probably going to get a set of DRs for mine very soon, and I'm very seriously considering the Nittos. I've heard several people say the BFGs and MTs are better, but you don't get the tread life out of them. I would be driving mine to and from the track, which is over 100 miles round trip, and I would like for them to last a while. Would you recommend them? Oh, and what size tire are you running?

I love them , I mounted them on spare Bullitts 275/40/17 ,I put them on to test them out and was to lazy to take them off and it ended up raining so I drove them in the rain and they are alot better in the rain then the stock G/Ys , the biggest problem with my car was the stock tires and street , when I got 4.10s I had no traction , now with the Nittos it hooks really nice on the steet and track , I think they are a great tire and for my HP level I have no problem , some of the guys that say they are not that good have a ton more HP and need BFGs or M/T !

That's kinda the general vibe I'm getting about the Nitto DRs: Do they hook at 450 hp? Probably not very well. Will they hook at 300ish? Most of the time if you're easy on them. I've also understood that they are much better with the automatics than the 5 speeds; it seems the initial shock of the 5 speed breaks them lose more easily than the BFGs or MTs, and that's a lot of the reason some people will say not to get them.

Nice run! You're oh so close to 12s!

BTW, I was never able to get even into the 13.20s until I changed from 315/35/17 Nitto 555Rs over to 275/50/15 M/T ET Street Radials.

Now my best time to date is 12.907 (also at Atco) and have a bunch of 13.0xx runs.
(I have a 5-speed 2004 GT with 265rwhp).
