I just installed new cams. Is there a break-in method or period?

When I did mine I rev'd the motor between 1500 and 2500 rpms for about 15min to get oil to the cams- this is what I was told to do for break in.

Not to hijack this thread, but how did your mail order tune from Tim work out? Was the tune for the cams?

flat tappet cams need break-in not rollers.

the tappets polish a mid rpms. rollers do not need wear polishing.

when i got my fox lake heads and cams installed had to put it on the dyno for the tune. so i called fox and asked about any type of break in fot the cams because i had to dyno tune it.

they said dont worry about it. everything is fine, throw it on the dyno!

The tune was for the cams, and the tune and my car didnt mix and still arent mixing. Me and Tim are trying to get it running right. Its no fault of Tims, I think my car is very picky. Also I have to wonder if it has something to do with my car being a 2000 (windsor with pressed on gears) because everyone with the 01+ romeos dont have an issue at all- im so jelous!
