New clutch and flywheel?

I have the set up bellow and with my Dr's at the track my clutch is not liking a 3500 to 4k launch. I was wondering if there was a good clutch/ligthend flywheel setup that is still very streetable considering I drive my car daily. I also plan on eventually adding a vortech in the future. Thanks guys

I run a promotion powertrain modified and blueprinted FMS HD pressure plate with a mcleod dual friction disk along with a fidanza aluminum flywheel. LOVE this set up! Its perfectly streetable and daily driveable. I've sat in New York City rush hour traffic with it for hours and had no problems. The pressure plate is modified/blueprinted to handle a lot of power and high rpm's. I shift around 6500-6700 in my street car and it works great. Its priced well too @ $289.

Well I just got off the phone with D&D performance and (can't remember his name) told me that the stock FW is good for up to supercharged 500/600RWHP stang. The only benifet to using a billet/alum is a SFI approvel and removable weights (50oz/28oz) and spin the motor up to 11,000. He told me he would just use a stock flywheel for any street car making 500+rwhp. I suggest you give them a call @248-735-6220 www.ddperformance.com .02

...and quicker acceleration and LESS wear and tear on your rotating assembly due to the less weight it has to turn. You forgot to mention these so i'm just helping These are the main benefits, the ones you listed are just fringe benefits.

If it were that much of a benifet I'm sure he would of mentioned that or recomended it for a street car. Who knows...I'm going by what D&D's tech told me. I asked at what point would it be needed to upgrade from a stock flywheel......."As soon as you get near the 600rwhp mark. Until then your stock FW is more then enough." Going by what the experts said on this one....

Same here. Thats why I bought an aluminum flywheel through my engine builder for my street car. Peace

That's weird because the drive train specialist I spoke too said other wise . As long as it works out it cool.
