new clutch...potential problem??

i just had a new clutch installed on tuesday and today i was getting a wierd vibration from the clutch pedal.

I think its most apparent @ 2k and above. To feel the vibration, i dont actually push the clutch pedal in, just place my foot on it, not applying any pressure at all.

Also the clutch pedal has no resistance for about the first 2inches of travel, is that normal?

they did install a new clutch cable.

How does your clutch engage, does it feel right? How far from the floor does your clutch grab? With a new cable it might have been a good idea to go with a firewall adjuster, but if you have the stock quadrant you should be able to pull all the way up on the pedal to adjust the slack.

It sounds a little loose to me, and if it's loose that may be why you are feeling vibration. If you have the stock quadrant try giving the pedal a pull upwards and see if that changes anything, if not you may be in need of a firewall adjuster and/or something more.

i would get a firewall adjuster and quadrant no matter what to start off with. that 2" of travel isn't good.

Besides the vibration and slack in the beginning, the clutch feels fine.

It grabs about half way up from the floor, which i think is normal right?

Im gonna take it back to the shop first and see if they can do any adjustments.

ok i just had the owner of the shop drive the car and he assures me that its normal.

maybe the vibration/slack wasnt as bad as i had thought.

im def gonna get a new quadrant and firewall adjuster...steeda ok?

I have heard good things about Fiore. I have their quadrant and FWA.

I just never installed them.
