Do COPS really help with hp? ive seen it advertise up to 15hp, are these worth buying? I have pretty much all the bolt ons and was just trying to see if these are another bolt on hp. also what would be the best brand to get?

Do you mean (a) adding COP to a motor that doesn't have them or (b) replacing the COPs on a 4.6 with something like the MSD versions?

If (b) then no, they will get you absolutely nothing. If you add a blower, and start to get misfires because the spark is too weak, then the MSD coils might help. But for a normal 4.6, they help the manufacturer only...

I would recommend just getting the replacement boots of the COP that let you get rid of those stock, slinky looking wires and they're only about a 100 bucks.

there was some place selling those for ~40 IIRC



i bought the ACCEL COP's... dunno if there was any real HP increase but the motor is much much smoother now and throttle responce seems to have gotten better
