Your prices are definitely OK, but I personally don't mind paying more if I know the guy working on my car knows his S**T. The price can be free for all intents but its worthless if the El-cheapo place don't know nothing and or worse case scenario screws up your car!
So whats your experience record as far as chip tuning on EFI cars? Got any references ? How many years of experience do you have doing this. Just because you are new in town I think I want to know more about you before I would trust you to tweak my PCM. Just because a shop has a good dyno don't mean they know what to do with it. No pun intended, I just want to know what your back ground is and what your experience levels are. For instance, I wouldn't take my new Cobra to Torque Freaks if they were the last dyno shop on earth, now if I had a rice burner ya maybe then I would. As far as just making a pass on their dyno thats OK, anyone can run a dyno with an hour of training.....but to let them do tuning, no way!
Ya, there are several dyno shops in the PDX area, only a couple would I even trust to work on my car when it comes to doing actual PCM tuning. Todays modern EFI cars are pretty damn complex with thousands of lines of code in their PCMs. Just having all the nice tools and equipment don't quite cut it unless you got the know how to use it and apply it. Just my two bits.

and Blood enterprises has like a 4 week wait to get on his dyno. I came down your way to a shop called Wide Open Performance. They have a mustang dyno and a guy named Tom Wong he is bad ass. I have kind of a basket case it is a 98 gt with a 2000 cobra motor. I had Diablo do some tuning and it would ping and surge but Tom Wong at Wide Open Performance nailed it, it runs great and picked up 23 hp and .8 seconds 0-60. They are installing a ATI procharger in mid January and I cant wait. The best thing is these guys race and really understand real world conditions. So I guess the bottom line is you better know who is tuning your stuff and if they have no experience run as fast as you can!!!
