I wanted to update you on my engine and the results of my buy in case any of you are in the market for one eventually. The engine is a 306 made of all new parts, deck-honed block with flat top pistons for higher compression, ARP Rod bolts, b303 cam, the heads were e-7 stock, gasket matched ported with shims on the springs. It came with a new oil pump and I used my old intake and oil pan (b4 I bought the Trick-flow int.).
Problems:
#1 A rocker arm bolt snapped during the first few hours of usage and they sent a replacement head with springs and new parts and gaskets to me in the mail - free of charge.
#2 The car is leaking about a quart every 2 weeks out of the rear main seal or some other rear seal in the back of engine. The trans will have to be removed and seal fixed. They said there is a $250 labor warranty on the engine and to send a digital pic email for fastest reimbursement.
Positives:
Other than that the cars runs as expected and actually runs reliably and very well.
