Well it was a pretty good day at the dragway.. Nice and cool and the track was sticky as hell.

Andy, 5.0 HOtrain, charlie and a crapload of 03/04 cobra owners made it up plus a few of my buddies.

I went 11.980@119.94 with a 1.926 60ft on the stock F1 tires.

On the dragradials my best past was:

60 - 1.699
1/8 - 7.435@ 96.01
1/4 - 11.522 @ 121.41

My MPH was better all day long. I was shifting it at 6k everyshift instead of a little bit higher like last time which seemed to work better. All in all im very happy, i would have loved to have gone 11.48 but it was not to be. Maybe next year as this was the last time im racing this season.

Also, the scales were open, i weighed in at 3750 with me in it, im about 180. Pretty heavy car. I had planned to pull the backseat out and front sway bar, but i got lazy and never did it.

Im not sure on andys times but im sure he will post up. 5.0 HOtrain did great going 126+MPH! I was very impressed..

Wow...i weighed mine at 3480 with me at 160....

I didnt do as I expected...never got a 60' better than 2.0... My MPH was up though, 102 vs 99 last year...best run was a 13.6 @102..that was my first run and the best...
I thought the 18s would hook better than they did....spum em pretty hard thru 2nd on most runs, I guess adding the 373s didnt help there...Charlie/Jesse offered up the DRs but screw it...i ran it as i brought it...
And I did get spanked by that White and Blue 03 Cobra..soon as i looked over I said, OH CHIT !!! he did a 12.5

Mike impressed my neice with her 95 Z28...he was her first run...she said, that guy did 126 mph... She was showing me the slip..

Was a good day though...we beat em up and nothing broke...

You said it best.. Beat em up and nothing broke. Once you get some DR's on there, u will watch the times drop for sure!! Any plans to run again this season andy?

Im heading to Daytona in a few weeks for some heat, and a friends wedding..I think end of Oct he closes the track ???

I read in the handout it's the 31st. BTW, at what time do you need a cage, is it 11.49 or 11.99 or faster

A bud who was running in that Gambler class was running 11.2 and he didin't have a cage yet...

I thought it was the end of the month for closing...

Congrats guys! Sounds like a fun day had by all!

As far as a roll bar, it is required at 11.99 at an NHRA track, and at 11.49 at an IHRA track.

EDIT: that is for coupes.... convertibles are 13.99 NHRA, 13.49 IHRA

its 11.49 at our track for the rollcage. They are usually pretty strict about it. Another cobra owner that was there said he went 11.4xx one run a week or two ago and the track officials flipped on him and booted him out.

Nice times fellas. At around 2 in the afternoon my cousin who goes to Wentworth in Boston called me up and said he had one more green monster seat if I could make it up there and claim it by game time. Needless to say I went to the Sox game instead.

126mph?? Damn thats quick!
