Just wanted to say hi. I'm a new Foxbody Owner. However, I used to work on them a lot in the late 90s when my friends were racing them. Finally decided to get one for myself. Looking forward to chatting with you all.

Hey! 1993 LX Hatch w/ a 5 speed. Needs love but zero rust and all the panels VIN match. Looks to have a 1994 long block in it. I'm just getting started with it...bought it yesterday. Running pig rich and surges dramatically at idle. Fuel is bleeding into the vac system from the pressure regulator, so I am swapping it out.

This car is going to be a complete resto project for me. Starting with drivability and safety stuff first.

Here's some pics. Vinyl flames are coming off as soon as I buff the paint.

Anybody know what this red self destruct button is? EGR bypass?

I believe it needs a tune to have it completely turned off in a stock ecu, if thats what you have. I dont want to advise you on what could happen..i dont have mine connected at all but the check engine light is on. I have heard the eliminator plugs fool the ecu into thinking its still operable, which might not be a good thing. Maybe someone else can chime in.

Just and FYI. That Paxton FPR was made by Aeromotive. I would give them a call and see if they have a rebuild kit for it as they were not cheap back in the day and a really good FPR.

Ok good to know! A new FPR fixed my issue! However, I noticed when revving the car, the rpm hangs for a few seconds before dropping back down. It is very similar to how an engine reacts at first start up. Is this normal?

Thanks! I'll do a better job searching the forum for answers first. Appreciate the help!
