So I have been bouncing these ideas around in my head and I don't know what to do. So I got married a few months ago and my wife has been buggin me to fix up her car. She has a 98 V6 with low mileage. I started thinking well gears would be an easy fix for some speed. I can't figure out if I want to just upgrade the stock 7.5" axel or do an 8.8" swap.
I can get a 7.5" ring and pinion set for less then $200 and I can get a 7.5" limited slip for about $200.
What do you think a 8.8 rear assemblie would cost me ?
