here's some cool Eleanor trivia for you...

When HOT ROD TV unveiled the car at SAAC 28, I drove one of the two camera cars used to film the segment!

Thanks guys. Cheapsk8 that is so cool! Was that a Unique Performance car? I ask because of the LeMans gas cap.

Realmongo: we coated the bottom with U-POL Raptor. We were going to paint it but I really plan on driving it and we thought the textured finish would be the smartest move. We spend lots of time on the bottom sandblasting, replacing brackets, epoxy priming and finishing it with the Raptor. It turned out great. I would highly recommend the product.

Here is a photo timeline

Yes, it was the Unique car. All their VIP's were there. Very cool experience working with radios on the track. moving around for camera angles and good shots, it was a blast.

I even have the Media Resources guide from that car. A white binder with everything in it!

(I had totally forgotten about that until I was reviewing those pics lookiing for something else!)

Thanks guys! We got a few more things done this weekend, mostly correcting some gaps between aftermarket panels but she is coming along! We also got some sanding done and were able to set the trunk spoiler in place to see how it would all look.

The gap between the aftermarket deck lid and the quarter needed adjusted. Here is what it looked like before:

Had to slice it to move it back a little...

Welded and cleaned up:

Hey guys, I'm new here. My husband and I are building an Eleanor. It's a 68 fastback, nothing original or special, just a plain old fastback. We are planning on using a 351W with a T5, Rod & Custom suspension; it will be driven, by me. Just saying hello!

LoL That looks like something special to me
