After an unfortunate incedent involving my friends Lightning and another friends passenger side headlight, I was able to score a new set with clear corners for half price. (mine were scratched and had condensation )

Long story short,......they fit like crap. I wasnt expecting OE quality, but I wasnt expecting this either.

The gap on the drivers side is about 1/2" from the fender. The passenger side isnt near as bad, but still sticks out like a sore thumb.

No offense man, but that doesn't look too good. How much would a new set of OE smoked headlights cost? Where are those headlights from?

i edited. re-read.

I will elaborate on the accident though, lol. We were at the track with a bunch of cars; stangs, L's, etc. Of course all the mustang guys took their passenger side headlight out, and set them to the side of where we parked. My friend in the L decided he was ready to run, so he hops in his truck, backs up a little, and I see it raise up about 3", then fall down really quick. He gets out and looks around, and his face turns white........

crap, he took the picture down. anyway, he crushed one of the mustangs headlights, so I gave them one out of my car bc it was scratched, and the L driver gave me $100 towards a new set.

did you bother reading the words before the pics? Im not exactly doing backflips of joy over the fitment.

these are smoked, w/ clear corners. they look funny bc I had the flashers on to make sure everything worked.

mustangtuning.com, and they will be contacted shortly.

Pending what AmericanMuscle offers to do for me, I will either try another set in exchange, or see what Randy S. can do for me on a set of OE's. I know those bastards are $$$.

But, I did need new ones anyway. Things will work themselves out for ole helty.

I got some projectors from americanmuscle.com, and I had to cut the plastic behind the lights to get them to fit. Thats what it said to do in the directions.

Pretty generous of you to offer your headlight up like that. The Lightning owner probably should have bought the guy a new one straight up.

If karma means anything, everything should work out for ya.

No instructions Just 2 boxes with lights in them. I figured something as trivial as headlights wouldnt require instructions (although if you need to modify them, I could see then).

FWIW I my disappointment is not directed towards AM. com. Its just towards the crappy fitment of the product. They are not the manufacturer and I know they dont have the time or means to test fit every product in their inventory. They've done well by me in the past and I expect the will do the same here......I hope.

i have the same problem just less bad, except mine from a difference in relation to the passenger side in edjustment. Anyway your driver side ones are pointing down too mcuh and that's why there's a gap?

yes, I did read your post, I was just agreeing with you that they weren't too good of a fit. My AM.com lights also kind of fit like crap, but as you said, American Muscle is just a distributor. I'm sure they'll help you out.

Unfortunately you can't link to them directly, but they are on the interior/exterior page, maybe 80% of the way down in a group of lighting items. Just look for the $169.99 price on the right.

You need some stealth turn signal bulbs. Dont buy silverstars, get stealth ones on ebay. Or ill sell you the silverstars for 5 bucks, but they arent perfectly clear.

The clear corners look good though. If you get stuck with those somehow, I think you may be able to re-shape them...
