Hi all. I have had my '78 since I was 15 (got it in '95) and loved it back then. Unfortunately about 7 years ago I had to park her on my land due to engine troubles and have not had the time or cash to do what I'd like to with her.

About 3 months ago I bought a '68 Galaxie from a buddy of mine and love it. It's big, rides great and the 390 is a blast . So now I'm not sure what to do with my II. As much as I loved it, I'm almost thinking it's time to let her go to someone that has the time and cash to fix her up. I really don't want to send her to the scrap yard or cut her up so I'm gonna see if I can get any bites first. If nothing I might just keep her a little longer and set a deadline as to when to start working on her. And seeing all the really nice II's on here is really making me want to start working on her soon. I must say there are some really nice cars on here and it suprises me because most people I know can't stand the II. So its nice to see some other people have the same love for the II that I do.

Here are some pics I took the other day incase you didn't see the other post. Again caution, they have not been resized so they are big.

Hope to be around and learn what I can.

That's a pretty good-looking set of wheels you have on there...they look to be 14 inchers: http://www.precizion.org/tien/MustangII/P6300029.JPG

Its fairly difficult to find a larger than stock aftermarket wheel for the MII anymore. It would be worth your time to pull them off and have them polished.

What engine does your car have?

Good luck on the project.

The rims were on there when I got the car, I always thought they looked great on it.

She just has the 2.3 with an auto, but as I said if I do rebuild her I'm going w/ the 351 route. A guy my father-in-law knows has a II w/ a 351C in it and he said he will give me any advice in the swap if I choose to do it.

From what I hear the car is just a blast and will break loose in any gear, sounds like a fun time to me

You know whats even 10x harder??? Actually finding a set of those E-T Kel-Stars in 4 spoke with a II's bolt circle. I REALLY REALLY want a set of these but in 5 spoke, and I'll change to 5 lugs just 'cause. Keep those wheels and definately polish them up. They are VERY RARE these days since the big aluminum scrap-out years back.

I know. I see so many nice II's on here and it makes me want to get her out of the field and start working on her now. But first I need to do a couple things to my Galaxie 500 and buy a new house (which will be soon) so I have more room for all my cars.

And I live just outside Binghamton, NY.

I have been told that thoes rims were rare but I never knew they were that rare. I will definitely have to make sure I get them taken care of, thanks.
