Just wanted to Introduce myself. I am the owner of a 70 Mach 1 that has been completly redone. I got the car for 1200 from my dads old high school friend, and went through it completly, added a new suspension, front disk, reworked the 351 C with a mild cam, Keith Black 10.5 to 1 pistons, bored 30 over with a edelbrock Performer RPM manifold and a 750 Holly Double Pumper Carb. I also just put a new interior in it, and am looking for a paint shop next.

go to http://www.cardomain.com/id/1970machwon to see a few pics of my car.

Looks like you got a great deal! That body alone looks to be well worth what you paid. If you need any help with questions, just ask them here. There are some real Mustang wizards on this forum...

Welcome man and good luck, looks like you have a fun project to work with.
So what's the story on the grill? Looks like someone tried to go custom and combine the emblem of a stock grill with the fog lights of the mach or something? Just curious.

Pak.

Oooooookaaaaaay, thanks PA, I guess (even though I knew that already ), but what does that have to do with my question exactly?
I was talking about the hole in the middle where it looks like someone tried to maybe add the emblem from the stock grill at some point. Maybe if I link to the pic I am asking about.

Yea we got it that way. I thought the same thing "wheres the emblem" until i looked at other mach fronts and saw that there was no emblem there, another grill is on the list of things to get after paint.

Also, i see you said the amber lens, do you mean you switched the amber bulb for a clear one, or were your lenses amber? Mine are clear with an amber colored bulb.

OK, I got ya. Well then, my guess is probably correct, someone tried to tuck a stock logo in there. Probably figured they could combine the two grills or something.

As for the amber question, that was pabear in an attempt to answer my question, not me, sorry. But I believe what he was trying to say is that he converted his into high beams, maybe ala the 69' Mustang?!?!?!?!?!??! Only he could clarify for sure though.
