Well just got back from the track up in Martin Michigan and my first run out I ran an 11.64 @ 110, because I had to let off due to hitting the rev limiter ( need some 3.73s). Then I ran an 11.90 spinning with a 1.90 60' followed by an 12.08 spinning VERY Badly with a 2.19 60'. It sucks the MT DRs aren't really cutting it anymore.

Should have slips posted up tomorrow or Sunday.

Outstanding. Congrads. I wonder how many little bastids in their 4 banger imports can say that without lying. Hell, I wonder how many of them have ever been in a 15 second car let alone 11's. It must be pant's crappin' fast.

nice. you should try moving up to a 1/4 mile track

Is that a joke, its hard to tell on the internet. LOL

As for my tranny it is a stock 4R70W with stock convertor. I had 20psi in the tires so I prolly should have lowerd them down some more, maybe 15-17 psi. These are on 275/40/17s. The colder it got the worse I spun.

I think I could pull off an 11.5 or an 11.4 with a better launch and not hitting the rev limiter.

guess you need a line loc so you can smoke them tires. getting cold shouldnt be a reason for not hooking

You have a built shortblock......why on earth don't you have the rev-limiter raised:shrug:

Werd, and a fully built (stage III Kit or J-Mod) 4R70W w/ a 3200-4000 stall (depending on how much u drive it every day) would bring you down to 11.1 no problem if ur hitting those numbers on a stock auto. Plus the stall would really help you launch and 60' times. You have a tranny cooler?

Maybe im reading this wrong, but I have read that the reason you do a burnout before you launch is to get the dirt and gravel off the tires to allow a clean contact from the tire to the ground and that getting the tires hot by doing the burnout does not really help you gain any traction.

It does both, hot rubber really does stick better, especially to rubber on the ground. That's why you'll see top fuels lay out a strip of it first to launch on

With street tires you are absolutely correct. Slicks or DRs you wanna heat em' up :nice:

Very nice dude! I'm hoping to be back in the 12's real soon, and hopefully cracking some high 11's on the stock block... My cars for turns anyway though, drags just for fun :) You gotta come to the city sometime and cruise, your car is pretty serious :nice:

Thanks man. Im always up for a good cruise. Do you guys have many car shows up there? We have one coming up on the 28th of this month. If you have one up around your area let me know, Id be willing to make the trip, plus I got some friends with some pretty wicked rides (Some speed, some looks) that would too.

Always hundreds (literally) of cars on the Southside of the city friday/saturday nights, lots of cruise-ins on weeknights and weekends, and crap loads of ricer type shows heh. Fastest cars in the state are around here, can't beat 9 second daily drivers :nice:

WOW awsome job mang! What was your 1/8 ET/trap? That will give us a GOOD idea of what you would have trapped. But im thinking that your going to run out a little better than mine on the trap side...your already beating my ET pretty easy :D

How much power are you making?
