Hi guys,
I just joined this forum today, I have been reading it for a couple of months. I have 2 mustangs and I have been thinking of selling the '78 King Cobra, I have kept it in the garage since I bought it in 1987. I have not been driving it in the past 3 years. It doesn't have the original motor, I rebuilt a '84 GT motor and put in a 5 speed. It doesn't have the original paint either. What are cars like this going for these days? I sure wouldn't take blue book price for it!!!
thanks

Tracking the sales for 74-78 IIs for several months on e-bay would give you the best idea. I would imagine a restored KC would go for 5-8k.

Welcome

Welcome to the forums. I also am a kind of new member. Active in the forums for a few months. These guys are great. It is a shame you want to sell. I know in my area here in Chicago there are only a few of these cars I have ever seen on the road. I have only seen one actually. The rest I've seen are sitting rotted out on the side of a house or what not. It is a rare car as far as I am considered. Along with parts for that car. Maybe reconsider your sale.

Hey guys.... I'm another one from the windy city.. I live on the east side near Wolf Lake and the Indiana border. I have a 76' cobra and one of my friends has 2 mustang II's. One hes got strictly for racing but will be street friendly.
I also sold a black 76' ghia a few years back and the last time i saw it , was in Hegwisch. Thats the furthest south you can go in the city limits.
