Yup , both correct . Vortech blown and aftercooled .Lots of other Mods done over the years but i don,t know which way to post the list .Looks like a Vortech with an aftercooler

umm ya i gotta go change my britches (pants) for you fellas up north. i gotta 97 gt with cobra body parts, but no 4v engine to go with it

Yup she does. I tried it out a couple of years back just after i got
4.10,s installed . I wanted to see if it would pull redline in 5th gear . I got it up to 156 mph ( GPS verified ) at 6,100 rpm and the car was pulling very easy . It was me that backed off . I was on a brand new road that was shut off to trafic but i was a little leary of my tires at the time . Now that i have New Tires all round, i may give it a go again .
I know what you say about the track . I had the road available to me , here was No Public access , but thats another story . I had 3.73 before but i just wanted to see what 4.10,s were like in the Car . They are a blast .1st :Track:
2nd, cool beans. My 96 was mostley stock and I hit 150 with 3.73s very quickly. If you dropped it back to 3.55 gears you could outrun a Vette on the top end

Hi , i was thinking about your Quote above. I don,t mean to Bash you or start a war , i,m just being curious. So , let me get this straight , your Mostly stock 1996 hit 150 mph with 3.73 quickly . What gear were you in . If my memory is correct , the 96 were the lowes t powered stangs for a while , given 215 HP in a 3600 lb car that would take a Long run i would have though . Again , i,m just asking the question . The Cobras would hit 154 ish in 4th gear with 3.27 , with 3.73,s it would be 202 MPH in 5th gear . Stock Cobras will not pull that much !1st :Track:

When you say "Mostly Stock " was it Supercharged or did it have Nitrous ??

ya its not that hard to hit top speed quickly when you change the gear ratio, it takes me 8 tenths of a mile to hit 148mph and im rollin 4.10s with 18 inch wheels
