How much spray?

No power adder. Straight motor. It was the cam that made a huge difference. Had a z303 228 at 50 and 558lift i think. Same combo with the ford cam ran 10.74 @ 129 mph

4 cars seems like alot but when you add them up, they're not worth that much.. 3 bikes too. Bit of a speed freak

Hanging around with joe dasilva for 15 years rubbed off on me a bit

You cant compare your times with mine, different cars and drivers. What I learned you need to get that power to the ground. All the J @ P cars always had M and h's or slicks. Hook is everything. I'll give you 2 examples.

My 87 when i first got it. notchback, lightened it up a bit

on crappy bfg's 13.7 @ 101 not bad 2.1 60ft
borrowed friends slicks
proper burnout and told me to launch at 5000, i though he was nuts. did what he said

same car Never forget it, my first 12 sec run
12.94 @ 104 1.6 60ft
hooked like hell...

Example 2

If your from Tor you might know this car
87 black lx hatch owners name was ted
prpbably wont believe me but its the truth
set it up for nhra stock rules, which are

untouched motor
battery in trunk
open headers
any rear end
any suspension mods
any gear
any slick

all he did was make his own ram air and take out headlight
he has a 9 inch with 4.56 but with a taller slick
12 by 28 tall
90/10 in the front
4 link in the rear

he shifted at 4600 cuz thats when the stock cam stops making power.

That hooked like hell and lifted the wheels a ft in the air.
Best time (track record) 12.38 @ 107
totally stock motor

he put on 100hp spray once for fun and went 11.2 @ 118

Hey cobra912

these are your stats?

1986 Mustang GT t-top
331 Stroker / Paxton 1220SL
STOCK T-5 - now Metal Salad R.I.P 2009/10/12
448 HP / 419 TQ

New best ET 11.46 @121

Judging your stats? Your not getting all your power to the ground. What kinda tires? Suspension?

I've had lotsa friends go 11.5 but only at 116 or 17. Your trap speed is 121? With slicks and a perfect launch, that speed is enough to run 11.1 or 11.2 maybe even 11.0. My friend louis runs 11.2 @ 119. Theres alot more in your car, trust me.
